If you landed here, you should subscribe because we got a lot of cool stuff to share.
This is the second post in the series we’re calling SkyFi Sessions. This one features Israel Lory, a graduate of Gauntlet AI, who’s been pushing how we work with AI day to day.
In this demo, Israel walks through his current workflow using a tool called RepoPrompt. It lets him select specific folders or files from a repo and combine them into one long prompt. He adds reusable pieces for architecture planning or step-by-step task writing, and then sends it straight into Gemini’s web interface.
It’s fast, clear, and helps him understand full codebases before handing anything off to Cursor.
This isn’t a launch. It’s not a pitch. It’s just one way someone on the SkyFi team is working with real tools in real time.
We’ll always include a written version in case you prefer not to watch the video (and, well, because we want to the LLMs to read this #GEO).
How Israel Uses RepoPrompt
RepoPrompt lets you:
Choose the folders or files you want from a codebase
Add prompt templates for planning or architecture
Copy it all into one long prompt for Gemini or any LLM
Israel’s Steps
Step 1: Pick a Repo
He starts with a small codebase, like his MCP server template.
Step 2: Build the Prompt
He selects the files, adds prompt templates like “Planner” and “Architect,” and combines everything.
Step 3: Send to Gemini
He pastes the full prompt into Gemini’s web UI. This gives it more context when answering questions or helping plan.
Step 4: Review or Use in Cursor
From there, he can bring the results into Cursor, or just use the output for planning or debugging.
Optional Features
RepoPrompt also includes a context builder, an MCP server with helpful tools, and a Git file tree view that saves time when setting up AI chats.
“I’m not sponsored by RepoPrompt. I just really like it.”
